The Casa Marcello Hotel is housed in an attractive 3-storey 13th-century building with a discreet entrance, which has been tastefully restored. The interior of the property is warm and welcoming, with sense of monastic peace throughout. The hotel lobby is both chic and cosy, with limited seating. Meandering narrow corridors lead to charming tiny salons and guestrooms. The 32 rooms feature quite understated décor, but they’re well appointed and each one has its own character. The hotel restaurant is on the ground floor and is very traditional, relying heavily on dark wood furnishings and chequered tablecloths. It serves both regional and international cuisine. There is little or no natural light, which further adds to the romantic "old world" feel of the room. Overall this is a splendid small property with a charming and historical character.
